Publication in the Journal of Neuroscience

Our latest paper, "Gaze-stabilizing central vestibular neurons project asymmetrically to extraocular motoneuron pools" was published in the Journal of Neuroscience.

The first author is former postdoc, David Schoppik, who now runs his own research group at NYU. The paper is a collaboration between the Schier and Engert labs, and characterizes a population of vestibular neurons that are required for stabilizing the gaze of larval zebrafish.  David & co mapped the anatomy, modeled the function, and discovered a new behavioral role for these neurons.

Congratulations David!
